Next week is Catholic Education Week (Wk 3). This week is an opportunity for all 309 Catholic schools in Queensland to celebrate and promote their distinctive mission and ethos. Our Yr 3-6 students will travel to Innisfail to celebrate Mass with other schools in the Southern Deanery and stay for some activities afterwards. In the lead up to Catholic Education Week, our Executive Director, Mr. Bill Dixon, visited to recognise staff on their years of service. Myself and Mrs Jo Wall have accumulated 20 years. Mrs Rosanna O’Kane, who is currently on leave, has reached 30 years of service. To both of these wonderful ladies – congratulations and thank you! The Docemus Awards are also held during Catholic Education Week; we acknowledge Mrs Helen Andrews, who has been nominated this year.
